Indian television's most popular actress tied the knot with her longtime beau, Vicky Jain today and the internet can't stop gushing at her stunning wedding look. While we loved her wedding look, we can't stop appreciating her Mehendi outfit. And, there's a beautiful story behind the glorious outfit.

Styled by Priyanka Castelino, Ankita and Vicky picked up matching outfits for their Mehendi ceremony.

The actress wore a beautiful lehenga by designer Siddhartha Bansal. Ankita wore the “blooming tale” lehenga by the designer. Now, the interesting story behind the ensemble. The ensemble was intricately and painstakingly crafted by 15 hand Karigars, using crafts like dapka work, pita work and combinations of millions of sequins adorned with patch work. The journey of the outfit took 45 days (1050 hours) from sketches to the actual ensemble. The ensemble gave a fresh blooming feel to the bride as she stepped into the new journey of life with a big smile and joy in her heart.

Ankita accessorised her look with some floral inspired jewellery from Kanyaadhan by Dhiraj Aayushi.

The dapper groom, Vicky picked up pastel dhoti pants and kurta, along with a draped dupatta by Siddhartha.
